3ET: Tabs
When an exercise has been loaded, the program shows five tabs. If the
exercise is loaded through the File > Load exercise menu item,
the
content of the “Universe” tab can be modified, but the contents of the
other tabs cannot. If the exercise is loaded through the File > Edit
exercise menu item or created through File > New exercise,
the contents of all tabs can be modified.
The tabs are:
- Description
- Shows which database is being used. The tab also contains a description
of the exercise.
- Universe
- Shows which parts of the database are used for this exercise. The
universe can always be modified by the user.
- Sentences
- Shows the criteria used by the program when it chooses sentences in the
database. Frequently, these criteria are also used for choosing sentence
units within each sentence; in that case the “Sentence Units” tab is not available.
- Sentence Units
- Shows the criteria used by the program when it chooses sentence units
within each selected sentence. The program presents these sentence units (which are normally just
words) to the user as questions.
- Features
- Shows which sentence unit features the program will show to the user
and which features it requests from the user.
